That's where you come in: we're hiring a Lead Storyteller to own video production and content strategy for our executive social channels. At the heart of it, you are a prolific videographer AND talented storyteller set to play an integral role at Blaze.

About the role

Your versatility as a writer and videographer is one of your most prized assets. You can play the role of storyteller, crafting narratives that feel deeply human, while simultaneously filming, editing, and producing videos that inspire our target customers.

You are exceptionally well-spoken and well-written. You have an ability to craft meaningful stories surrounding the unique personas of entrepreneurs and executives. You sweat the details. You obsess over getting it right.

You are also a positive, enthusiastic self-starter with an edge for video editing and production. Your work quite literally speaks for itself. You have a strong drive and a curiosity for how and what engages a viewer on YouTube and Instagram. While you rely on creativity to share executives’ messaging, you also use data insights to make your next move.

Your experience helps you prioritize, and your attention to detail is how you (and your work) shine. You thrive in an entrepreneurial environment and are excited by the challenge of building new social channels from the ground up. You ask questions, are continually learning, and find opportunities to be more efficient all while creating more audience intrigue.

Specifically, you will:

  • Use your strong copywriting chops (hooks, story flow, specificity, etc.) to craft compelling storylines, scripts, and narratives that will delight digital audiences

  • Shoot, produce, and edit executive video content, with the ability to identify, create, and adhere to executive voice and brand visuals

  • Work in a fast-paced start-up environment and manage multiple executive social channels simultaneously

  • Own all executive content performance reporting, including insights on how to improve click-through-rate, reach, engagement, and follower growth

  • Remain furiously curious as you iterate on our executive narrative and storyline across channels

  • Pay crazy attention to detail

  • Take the reigns and figure it out

About you

We're looking for a storyteller who can catapult our high growth startup to the next level. Please apply if you have:

  • 3+ years creating and editing short-form and long-form video content

  • 3+ years of script writing and/or copywriting experience

  • Success interviewing executives and translating stories into compelling video content

  • Proven ability to make executives feel comfortable in front of the camera
