That's where you come in: we're hiring a Senior Product Marketing Manager to own product positioning across the company so that all of our messaging—landing pages, ads, product copy, lifecycle emails, sales materials, and more—communicates our value proposition in a clear, concise, and compelling format to potential users and customers.

About the role 

We're looking for an ambitious, high-bandwidth, eloquent product marketer to work closely with our leadership team to define and refine our product positioning. Reporting to our CEO, you will ensure that our communication speaks the language of our customers' jobs to be done, addresses customer pain points, and outlines product benefits.

Product marketing at Almanac sits between product, design, engineering, and our GTM teams. As our first product marketer, you'll have the opportunity to define a new category around async collaboration, manage exciting product launches, and develop positioning that converts potential users into passionate customers and viral growth stories.

Specifically, you will:

  • Work with our leadership team to develop our category, positioning, and GTM strategy
  • Own all product positioning at Almanac, including review and approval of landing pages, emails, ads, social, sales outreach and pitches, content marketing and more
  • Be a champion of our customers, telling their stories through various channels (web, webinar, blog, community, etc.) that highlight use cases that educate and inspire
  • Work with our customer development team to build a pipeline of leads, free users, and paying customers that create a "white hot" base of raving fans
  • Become the expert on our markets and competitors, helping our team understand what’s happening in productivity, collaboration, and remote work spaces

    About You

    We're looking for a marketer who wants to define a new product category within a high growth startup. Please apply if you have:

    • 5+ years of product marketing experience in a high growth SaaS organization
    • Defined product positioning for a new product category
    • Led the launch of a new website or landing pages for a growth-stage company
    • Conducted user research interviews focused on understanding their jobs to be done and evaluating the effectiveness of product positioning
    • Managed A/B tests to optimize copy and conversion on product marketing assets

    • Strong intuition and perception around understanding customer needs through research, interviews, "customer development" style selling, and A/B testing
    • Brilliant, structured writing that could appear on the website of the most polished, beloved brand you can think of
    • A high-output, iterative, empirical approach to learning what resonates with potential customers

    • A passion for building and a desire for ownership and responsibility
